Learning Units:
Reading - Comprehension, Drawing Conclusions, & Vocabulary - Students will be reading in reading groups at their instructional level, but also practice reading passages that are on grade level. Students will be working with nonfiction books and work on unknown words in which they will need to use context clues to develop understanding.

They will have to argue and persuade readers on whether or not students should be able to wear a Halloween costume to school. They will be writing reasons that include information on both sides of the argument to support their thinking.
