Learning Units:
Reading - Fiction - We will continue reading Geronimo Stilton as a class. Students will complete a packet that includes comprehension questions for each chapter, as well as understanding figurative language and author’s point of view. In reading groups we are working on vocabulary and text-based evidence.
Writing - I am Lucky because… - Students will continue to work on a writing piece that includes why they are lucky. Students will go through the writing process - prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing.
Math - Geometry- Students wrap up Unit 7 which covers two-dimensional figures as well as perimeter. Students will have their test on Friday, and will be bringing home a study guide this evening to complete. We will continue Rocket Math in class. Please be sure to help your child with multiplication facts at home or in the car.
Social Studies - Economics - Students will continue to learn about goods and services, as well as supply and demand. We will also have some ways to earn “money” for rewards throughout this unit, and then students will be able to purchase items at the end!

Health - Personal Health and Illness- Students will explore the importance of personal health, and how to handle different illnesses and diseases.
